Some of our favorite people to work with are the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and SEAS recently had the privilege of teaming up with the Mobile District for a Boundary Refurbishment Survey on Lake Seminole. We surveyed approximately 209 miles of US Government Fee Simple Boundary at Jim Woodruff Lock and Dam.That pretty much covers the whole boundary of the Lake. It’s pretty cool and unique to survey the entire boundary around a vast lake like Lake Seminole.
This survey contained multiple separate refurbishment segments along the boundary of Lake Seminole in Florida and Georgia. We used GPS to collect field information and then used AutoCAD to create survey plats meeting AEC CADD Standards for any re-monumented boundary line and encroachment areas using scales to accurately depict the encroachment and/or boundary lines. As you can see in the pictures, we enjoyed working in this beautiful place!
