SEAS is very familiar with field procedures outlined in Section 9.22 of EM 1110-1-1003, NAVSTAR Global Positioning System Surveying and Chapter 9 of EM 1110-1-1005, Control, and Topographic Surveying and have monumented and established horizontal and vertical positions on hundreds of control stations. This work has been performed primarily for NOAA and the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE). These control stations have been of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Order classification for: Dam Deformation, Tide Stations, Aerial Photogrammetry Targets, Survey Control for bridge locations, Control for Hydrographic Surveys, Control for Lock and Dam locations, Survey Control for Electronic and Staff GaugeInstallations, etc… SEAS personnel have experience in NGS BlueBooking and the Corps of Engineers USACE Survey Monument Archival and Retrieval Tool (USMART). SEAS has installed many different types of monuments to meet project and USACE requirements as per EM 1110-1-1002, March 2012 including 3D Rods driven to refusal and pouring large concrete monuments in remote locations.
